In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.
Job Description
We Are: The Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) provides comprehensive cancer treatments to children of all ages. The unit provides 24-hour urgent care services to patients and family members. Learn more about the Department of Pediatrics, recently featured on the social media sensation Humans of New York:
You Are: - A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions to keep the organization moving forward
- Capable of building strong customer (patient) relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
- Action-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
- Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals
- An effective communicator, capable of determining how to best reach different audiences and communicating based on that understanding
You Will: - Provide exceptional care for our youngest patients
- Administer chemotherapy
- Perform venous access procedures
- Provide pre-surgical care
- Participate in patient education activities
You Need: - BSN
- NYS RN license/registration
- A minimum of 1.5 years nursing experience required. Pediatric, PICU, or Emergency Room experience preferred.
- BCLS and PALS
- National Certification highly preferred
Hours: - 12-hour shifts flexed between 7:00 pm and 7:30 am with weekend rotation
