Northwell Health’s Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join The School Mental Health team at South Oaks Hospital in Amityville, NY. We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills who have a passion for collaboration and innovation.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join the expanding school mental health service as the lead psychiatrist for the Behavioral Health Center – an ambulatory crisis service that provides walk in assessments and short term crisis care to the students of contracted districts, while collaborating and supporting the school based clinical teams. The clinical team includes physicians, social workers, mental health counselors and other administrative personnel. In addition to providing clinical care for students, the Northwell school mental health team also provides professional and community education, curricular support, consultation and care coordination to participating school districts.
