JOB SUMMARY

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurodevelopmental/neuropsychological assessment and intervention, with a focus on neurodevelopmental conditions. You will provide evidenced based evaluations to help uncover a child/youths strengths, areas of vulnerabilities, and provide differential diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Work Location: The primary work location will be the SCHS PEDAL clinic in Bend, Oregon. Other outreach locations may be added as patient and business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct neurodevelopmental/psychological/neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents, with special health care needs such as genetic and medical conditions, autism, complex ADHD, and traumatic brain injury including concussions.
Develop evidence-based recommendations based on assessment findings.
Collaborate with PEDAL providers and community stakeholders to ensure holistic care.
Participate in case conferences and contribute to ongoing program development.
Stay current with research and advancements in neuropsychology and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Work schedule: We are seeking a licensed psychologist to work 10 hours/week.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in the state of Oregon.
Experience in neuropsychological assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Clinical Responsibilities Assess a patients needs, abilities or behavior using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behavior.
Provide consultation and feedback to patients, families and providers.
Develop treatment plans, therapy, counseling or advice, in collaboration with colleagues.
Provide individual/group therapy and treatments for difficulties relating to mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, addiction(s), social and interpersonal problems and challenging behavior.
Prepares reports for patient records and summary reports on service delivery within SCHS electronic health record.
Invest into the development and implementation of psychological endeavors pertaining to best practice and the best interest of the organization.
Non-Clinical Responsibilities:
Be familiar with the SCHS organization structure, communications systems and billing process, completing billing and coding documentation within time assigned by SCHS administration.
Keep all licenses and appropriate certifications current and unrestricted.
Maintain active privileges at a St. Charles Health System hospital sufficient to permit performance of job duties.
Increase understanding and collaboration throughout the medical community regarding providers chosen specialty.
Provider Leadership:
Participate in SCHS Provider meetings and assist in policy formation for SCHS and Providers practice.
Participates in creating a healing environment that supports all aspects of the care environment and the wholeness of each individual, patient and caregiver.
Participates in creating intentional relationships, and put a high level of focus on attitudes and behaviors that enhance the care experience.
Provide a therapeutic presence in service to others by purposefully responding to the needs of patients/customers in a caring way. This includes introducing oneself and stating your purpose, asking the patient their preferred name, spending time with the patient to determine their care goals, active listening, and using skillful communications (appropriate touch, eye contact, etc.).
Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients and guests.
Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, supporting the health systems corporate integrity efforts by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violations of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all health systems investigations and proceedings.
Provides ongoing provider leadership, education and mentoring to clinical support staff including.
Interpret and report on diagnostic tests in a timely manner not to exceed 24 hours after the diagnostic procedure is completed for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Required:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree, have completed clinical internship and postdoctoral training with emphasis in pediatric neuropsychology, and be eligible or hold an Oregon license through the Oregon Board of Psychology.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
Required:
License to practice psychology in the state of Oregon by the applicable Oregon Board of Psychology.
Membership with applicable state/national organization preferred.
Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to meet SCHS driving requirements.
Maintain unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare / Medicaid, or other federal or state governmental health care programs.
Current BLS certification required.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Pediatric experience either during the post-doctoral period or previous employment is required.
Preference is given to candidates who have hospital based experiencing working with pediatric population. Additional experience and training may be required.
Preferred:
Five years active practice in Pediatric Neuropsychology
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

Continually (75% or more): Use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level.
Frequently (50%): Sitting, keyboard operation.
Occasionally (25%): Standing, walking, bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 1-10 pounds, grasping/squeezing, operation of a motor vehicle, ability to hear whispered speech level.

Exposure to Elemental Factors
